Strawberry Salsa –

Every year, when strawberries are in season, I make this wonderful Strawberry Salsa.  Talk about an on-your-tongue-flavor-explosion!  

I’ve mentioned before how my husband loves his snacks in the evening.  This one is healthy!  Fruit and vegetables, right? 

Strawberries give this salsa sweetness, the green peppers a fresh crunch, the onions a little zip, and the Catalina dressing a tang that when scooped up on a salty tortilla chip… oh, my.  

Well, let’s just say, you won’t be able to stop at just one.

Strawberry Salsa

  • 2 1/2 cups finely chopped fresh strawberries
  • 1 cup chopped green pepper
  • 2 Tb. chopped green onions
  • 2 Tb. minced fresh parsley
  • 1/3 cup prepared Catalina salad dressing
  • Dash hot pepper sauce, optional
  • Pepper to taste
  • Tortilla chips


  1. In a large bowl, combine first 4 ingredients, then stir in the salad dressing. Season with hot pepper sauce (if using) and pepper.
  2. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
  3. Serve with tortilla chips.
